How I Handled a Recent Trauma(and Why)

In this video I talk about a recent trauma I experienced and how I handled in a way that ensured I was able to feel, process and recover from the experience fully, without becoming traumatised. The manifestation of all PTSD and CPTSD symptoms come as a result of an interruption in our recovery process of the event itself. After a highly stressful or traumatic event has occurred, we must allow ourselves to fully feel, process and recover from that experience. In allowing ourselves that space and time to regroup, and understand what that event(s) means to us, we can integrate it into our life story and move on more easily, without it seriously affecting our overall wellbeing over the long term.
